Doug Canter, the firm’s owner and principal service provider, is a retired attorney, D.C.-area writer, and Maryland English Language Arts secondary school teacher. In addition to editing numerous legal and professional documents in his prior law career, Mr. Canter has provided freelance editing service for non-profit groups and individuals. Mr. Canter’s published writing includes personal essays, news articles, magazine features, and website content. Mr. Canter taught English at Western High School in Baltimore City from 2017-2020 and currently teaches English and Creative Writing at Paint Branch High School in Montgomery County, Maryland.
